Joachim is a highly experienced manager with a demonstrable track record of creating and implementing commercial strategies to grow business, revenues and margins across multiple sectors and regions. He lives in London and runs the local Steinbeis VMI office there.
Strengths and Career Achievements
Joachim brings more than 35 years of experience in leading positions across the global FMCG industry, start-ups and privately owned companies. He began his career in Unilever Germany where he held various sales and commercial positions in the personal care division.
Joachim then joined GlaxoSmithKline in Germany building his career holding a variety of supply chain and sales roles across the DACH region. He then moved to London to create the European sales function. In his last role with GSK as VP Sales & Customer Strategy EMEA he led the international key account management for the mass market business, the global sales force excellence structure for the expert channels and the pharmacy teams including the collaboration with the pharmaceutical division.
After more than 25 years of experience in big FMCG corporations he joined a start-up business in Germany as CEO and shareholder in the medical device sector. Thereafter he was responsible for the European business of a British privately owned natural health company as managing director in Hamburg and Monaco.
Of German nationality, Joachim is fluent in English and French having worked and lived in Germany, France, Belgium and the UK.
